1. MAGEN DAVID ADOM is the SECOND LINE OF DEFENSE in Israel and provides all the Emergency Medical Services in times of PEACE and WAR.

 

2. MAGEN DAVID ADOM provides all the BLOOD PLASMA SERVICES to all the hospitals and populace of Israel, as well as to the Israel Defense Force Medical Service.

 

3. MAGEN DAVID ADOM has established a qualified Cardiac Survival System with Mobile Cardiac Rescue Units equipped with two-way communication.

 

4. MAGEN DAVID ADOM fully cooperates with all hospitals and clinics througout Israel and has recently instituted an Emergency Premature and High Risk Infant Ambulance Service with Hadassah Hospital at Mt. Scopus.

 

5. MAGEN DAVID ADOM has had an ongoing program for Emergency Lifesaving Training for all civilian employees including postal workers, police, firefighters, cab drivers, tour guides and others. MAGEN DAVID ADOM also provides First Aid instruction where young people learn to help themselves and their own communities in times of disaster.

 

6. MAGEN DAVID ADOM has built and maintains First Aid Stations throughout all of Israel that are always available. In addition, auxiliary services are maintained with ambulances at all the critical border kibbutzim.

9. MAGEN DAVID ADOM maintains a modern fleet of 550 ambulances that are on constant alert. They must be replaced at the rate of 80 vehicles per year as they become worn and tired.

 

10. MAGEN DAVID ADOM needs immediate funds for purchasing the latest blood bank equipment for the newly completed MAGEN DAVID ADOM National Blood Bank Center at Ramat Gan.
